- The 1897 First All Russian Census covering Dvinsk as translated by Christine Usdin in June 2012 includes, in part 19.1 on page 155, includes the following:-
In Varshavskya Street at house no. 70 apartment no. 6a which was a wooden house with a shingle roof lived

Sora SALMON born TZIVIAN, daughter of Leizer, female, wife, age 24 years, born in Dvinsk, registered in Novo-Alexandrovsk, a Jew, speaks Yiddish, cannot write, supported by husband.
David SALMAN, son of Shlema, age 2 years, born in Dvinsk, registered in Novo-Alexandrovsk, a Jew, speaks Yiddish, cannot write, supported by father.
Hirsh SALMAN, son of Shlema, age 2 months ,born in Dvinsk, registered in Novo-Alexandrovsk, a Jew, speaks Yiddish, cannot write, supported by father.
