    2. [S3] Marriage Certificate, Act 25/1879 (Reliability: 3).
      It happened in city of Kielce on 23rd December 23 1879 / 4th January 1880, at 5 p.m.
Herewith it is being announced that in the presence of the witnesses Chaim LERER, age 31, and Izrael Icek BER, age 33, both traders living in the town Kielce, a religious marriage had been concluded today between Dawid ZAWADSKI, bachelor, 22 years old, born in the town Chmielnik, son of Szmul Hersz and already deceased Laja Fajga nee TCHORZ, married ZAWADSKI, resident of the village Chalupki by Kielce, and Maria BERGER, maiden, 21 years old, born in the village of Chalupki by Kielce, daughter of Abram Icek and Fajgla nee KOPERBERGER, married BERGER, resident of the village Morawica.
The marriage had been preceeded by three announcements published in the Kielce synagogue on Sabbath days 8th, 15th and 22nd December 1879.
The verbal permission was given directly during the marriage ceremony. The permission of the bride´s father was given in written. The newly-weds announced that they had concluded no marriage agreement. The religious ceremony was conducted by the shames Josek MOJSENBERG as a deputy of the rabbi of Kielce Jewish Community.
Then this document was written down. As the clients declared that they were illiterate (e.g. they could not write Polish), this document was signed by the shames and rabbi deputy only.

Marya's birth certificate clearly shows that her name is BERGIER. I have therefor used this name in preference to BERGER. It also shows her mothers name as HUBEBERGER and I have used this in preference to KOPERBERGER.
