    1. [S2] Birth certificate, Nowogrod Registry Akt B66/Zbojna (Reliability: 3), 6th August 1886.
      It happened in the village Nowogrod on August 6th, 1886, at 10 a.m.
      It appeared in person the Jew Hersz KIKMAN, tailor, 64 years old, resident of the village Zbojna, accompanied by the witnesses the Jews, Mejer AJZBERG, age 37, and Aron KAUFMAN, age 30, both residents of the village Zbojna, and showed us a child of a male gender announcing that he had been born in the village Zbojna on July 5th, this year, at 8 p.m. of his lawful wife Sora-Mariem Jankielowna (means: daughter of Jankiel), 30 years old.

      During the ceremony of circumcision this child was given the name Dawid.

      The delay in the birth registration was caused by the absence of the father at home.

      Then this document was written down, read to the client and the witnesses. Signed by us and AJZBERG, because the father of the child and the second witnes are illiterate.

      David KIKMAN, was born in Zbojna, Poland. Married to Sara and continued to live in Zbojna. Died during WWII in Lomza.

      Submitted by his acquaintance IABLONKA. Ester JABLONKIEWICZ married Myer KAUFMAN who was a cousin of Dawid KIKMAN.


    3. [S3] Marriage Certificate, Registration district Nowogrod Akt M9 year 1877 (Reliability: 2), 27 May / 8 June 1877.
      It happened in village of Nowogrod on 27th May / 8th June 1877 at 10 a.m.
      He appeared the Jew Dawid Ber SZCZAWINOWICZ, member of the Jewish community of Nowogrod (kahal), accompanied by the witnesses, the Jews Kuszel CHMIELEWSKI, worker, age 70, and Lejba KON, shamus, age 69, both residents of the village Nowogrod, and announced that yesterday in fron of him a religious marriage had been concluded between Herszk Szlomowicz KKIKMAN, 53 years old, widower of Enta Szolimowicz KIKMAN, worker, son of the deceased parents, Szloma and Itka Pinkasowna married KIKMAN, and Sora Mariem KELLER, maiden, born and still living in the village Wyk, daughter of Jankiel and already deceased Ena married KELLER, workers, 25 years old, living together with her father.
      The marriage had been preceeded by three announcements published in the local synagogue on 7th, 14th and 21st May this year. The newy-weds announced that they had concluded no marriage agreement.
      Then this document upon being read aloud, was signed by us, the clients and the witnesses. The other persons declared that they were illiterate.

      N.B. In this situation "illiterate" could mean that they could not read and write Russian. They could be litterate in Yiddish and Hebrew.
