- In Solomon KIKMAN's Alien Registration Book the birthplace for Sarah FOX is either Plock or Plotsk. The book "Where We Once Walked" records Plock with the alternative names of Plotsk and Plotsk (90km N.E. of Lodz).
Mick Fox said that when he was young letters came from Poland addressed to Henry Foux.
Millie White said that in Poland the family name was Fuchs. This is compatable with him describing himself as a German Resident with German Nationality.
Sarah's K'tuba records states Sora daughter of Mr. Moshe Lieb ha Levi
- Mick FOX said the following:-
1) That his father,Henry FOX, arrived in England when he was 16 with a brother who continued to the USA. From his approximate birth year this would have been about 1894. It is unclear if he was accompanied by his sister Sarah, who would have been 9 yrs old.
2) He told Millie WHITE that both his parents came from Michnitz (now called Myszyniec) in Poland
The 1911 Census shows Isaac, Millie, Sarah, Alfred and Polly all born in Mishenits, Poland. In 2007 Mick FOX told me that his father was born in Myszyniec, Poland although the 1911 Census states that Henry FOX was German. Myszyniec, Mishenits, Mishenitz, Mishinyets and Mishnits are all the same shtetl which have a Jewish population of 600 in 1938.Essie STONE described herself as a cousin of Debbie Zerdin, who was the daughter of Sarah FOX who was Henry FOX's sister. This provides reasonable evidence that Myszyniec was, at least for a period of time, the home of the FOX family.
