- The 1920 US Census displayed under documents below shows the following:-
Harry PORTNOI, head of household, age 49 arrived in US in 1903 and Naturalised in 1917, occupation a shoemaker with his own business.
Rebecca, his wife, age 46, arrived in US in 1906, not working.
Isidore, son, age 25, arrived in US in 1906 with his own trucking business.
Ray (presumably Rachel) age 22,arrived in US in 1906 book-keeper in a gown business.
Ida, daughter, age 20, arrived in US in 1906 working in a millinary factory.
Alex (presumably Albert) age 18, arrived in US 1906 a shipping clerk in shoe factory.
Sarah(presumably Shirley) age 12 born New York.
In the adjoining property lived Charles and Sadie GREENBERG with their 4 year old daughter Florence. Sadie was Harry and Rebecca's eldest daughter age 23 who married Charles in 1913 when she was aged 16/17.
