- Bruce Goldsmith e-mail dated 22 Sep 2002 stated Leonard died 6 Apr 2002. The Social Security Death Index gives the date as 4 Jun 2002.
Name:
- In an e-mail dated 15 Dec 2007 Glenn SADIN states that his father's birth certificate gave his name as Lewis however throughout his entire life he was known as Leonard. He added that on his birth certificate it states that he was born on 21 February 1920. In fact he was born just after midnight on 22 February 1920 and this was corrected shortly after his birth. Glenn added that his Yiddish name was Labela pronounced Laybella. This is the kinnuim of the Jewish name Lieb which was his grandfather's name. Jewish names are either shemot ha-kodesh i.e. sacred names or kinnuim i.e. non-sacred names
