    1. [S3] Marriage Certificate, Nowogrod Registry year 1851 Akt M12 (Reliability: 3).
      It happened in town Nowogrod on April 19th (May 1st), 1851, at 4 p.m.
      It appeared the Jew Eliasz Wulfowicz HURWICZ, Rabbi of the town Nowogrod, resident of Nowogrod, together with the Jew Hersz Judkiewicz POTASIEWICZ, bachelor, tailor, according to the presented document 20 years old, born in the village of Zbojna, district Krupie?, still living there, son of the late Jew Judko Beniaminowicz and Jenta Szolimowna, still alive, family POTASIEWICZ, and Chawa Szlamowna KIKMAN, maiden, according to the presented document 19 years old, born in the village Wyk, district Kupiski and still living there, daughter of Szlama Herszkowicz and Itka Pinchesowna married KIKMAN, both already deceased, and announced in the presence of the witnesses the Jews Zelman Abramowicz GRODNER, shames, age 66, and Froim GOLDBERG, worker, age 77, both residents of the village Nowogrod, that today in front of him a religious marriage had been concluded between
      Hersz Judkiewicz POTASIEWICZ, bachelor, and Chawa Szlamowna KIKMAN, maiden.
      This marriage was preceeded by three announcemenets published in the synagogue of Nowogrod on Sabbath days March 31st (April 12th), April 7th (19th), and 14th (26th) this year. No reservations towards the marriage were registered. The verbal permission for the marriage was of the newly-weds, who also declared that no marriage agreement had been concluded.
      Then this document was read to the clients and signed by the Rabbi, the witnesses and us, the clerk of civil administration. The newly-weds declared that they were illiterate.
