- [S3] Marriage Certificate, Nowogrod Registry Year 1860 Akt M3 (Reliability: 2).
It happened in the village of Nowogrod on 12th /24th January 1860, at 4 p.m.He appeared the Jew Hersz PELTEROWICZ, Rabbi of the Nowogrod Kahal, accompanied by the witnesses the Jews: Joszko Jankielowicz ROZENBAUM, a shames, age 51, and Zelman Abramowicz GRODNER,a shames, age 71, both residents of the village Nowogrod, and announced that today in front of him a religious marriage had been concluded between the Jew Szmul Litmanowicz CWEYBA, bachelor, 24 years old, a labourer, born and still living with his parents in town Sniadowo, son of the late Litman Jankielowicz and Chaja Berkowna married surname CWEYBA, and Chana Szlamowna KIKMAN, maiden, 21 years old, born and still living with her parents in the village of Wyk, a servant, daughter of Szloma Herszkowicz and Itka Pinchesowna family surname KIKMAN, both already deceased.
This marriage was preceeded by three announcemenets published in the synagogue of Nowogrod on Sabbath days 4th/16th, 11th/23rd and 18th/30th April last year. No reservations towards the marriage were registered. The verbal permission for the marriage was of the newly-weds, who also declared that no marriage agreement had been concluded.
Then this document was read to the clients and signed by the rabbi, who celebrated the marriage ceremony and witnesses. The newly-weds declared that they were illiterate.

I assume that the announcements were published last year rather than more recently because of a death in the family.
