it happened in the town of Nowogrod on 12th / 24th April at 5 p.m.
He appeared in person, the Jew, Herszek Szlamowicz KIKMAN, a tailor, living in the village of Wyk, 28 years old, accompanied by the witnesses Fiszko Herszkowicz SZAFRANOWICZ, shamus, age 61 and Zalman Abramowicz GRODNER, labourer, age 62, both living in the town of Nowogrod, and showed us a child of a male gender announcing that he had been born in the village of Zbojna on 30th September / 12th October 1844 at 4 p.m. of his lawful wife Jenta Szolimowna, 35 years old.
He mentioned the being a resident of a village he did not know about the correct time for the birth registration.
During the ceromony of circumcision this child was given the name Szlomo.
Then the document, upon being read aloud to the client and the witnesses, was signed only by the witnesses because the father of the child was illiterate.
