- Occupation: The 1911 Census states butcher journey.
- Names: I have used the forenames Eliahu Dov as it is the name used on the Amdur Web site. This was almost certainly his Hebrew name. The web site also gives "Bennett" which, I assume was the name that he was known by in the family. This was the name used in the 1901 England and Wales Census. He is shown as Elijha on the 1911 England and Wales Census and as Alec on Rachel and his and her death certificates.
- The 1901 England and Wales Census shows living at 12 Auteliff Street the following:-
Israel SKIEBELSKI, head, age 25, Hewbrew teacher on own account, born in Russia. N.N.
Emily do., wife age 25, born do.,
Esther do., daughter, age 3 born in London
Moses S do., son, age 1, born London St. Georges
Bennett AMDUR, father-in-law, age 65, assistant Hebrew teacher, worker, born in Russia N.N. The transcription of the Census reads "Barnett AMDUR"
Rachel do., mother-in-law, age 64, born in Russia N.N., eyes doomed
Solomon do., brother-in-law, age 20, poulterers assistant, worker, born in Russia N.N
I do not have any details of Emily and her family although there is a birth certificate for Esther. I cannot trace Solomon born about 1891.

- Birthplace: The 1911 Census gives the birthplace as Bornin, Russia. I am unable to located this place. The Amdur web site states Lituania. It also gives his age as 75.
Buried:
- JGOWBR records that Elijam Dov AMDUR died on 17 December 1918 aged 90.

The family tree states his birth and death dates as 1828-1919. His death certificate confirms when he died. I have assumed that the family tree has taken his age from the JGOWBR records on JewishGen . I have assumed that the age given by the family in 1919 to be more accurate however I show the birth year as the range between these two ages.
