Evacuated during WW11 to Aston Clinton when she was pregnant with Adrienne.
Polly was a member of Boundary Road Synagogues Ladies Guild.
I always remember Polly as the matriarch of the Zerdin family. From a small terraced house in Leyton she catered Sedar nights for the family and entertained people in the traditional Jewish way. I do not think I ever went to her house, even if I dropped in when passing, not to be greated by her cooking. Her apple cake was exceptional and her stuffed kenadalach were absolutely amazing. KZ

Frieda and Rufus were first cousins once removed.
Millie WHITE said that Frieda had money compared with Polly, her mother-in-law. When they got married Rufus was in army. Millie said that Frieda was never welcomed in the Moss household. | Family F179

Frieda is a name that runs throughout the Kikman family. The oldest ancester that I have traced with this name is Zelik Keler's mother who was born around 1820
Sandra says that Freida married a cousin. Millie White confirmed this relationship. She said that Frieda had money compared with Polly, her mother-in-law. When they got married Rufus was in army. Millie said that Frieda was never welcomed in the Moss household.
Freda suffered from mental illness for as long as I can remember. Both my father and Max dealt with the problem. From time to time she would turn up and stay with either Max and Margie or us. Occassionally she became abusive to neighbours and the police were called. After I moved from Castle Drive she did not have my address but she was still returning to Max well into the 1970's. It appears that she died alone without any family or friends. Her death certificate states that the death was reported by the "person causing the body to be buried" KZ | KICKMAN Freida (I2236)

From Marc ERLITZ website:-
It happened in the town of Lomza on the 9th / 21st day of April in the year 1859 at the hour of 2:00 in the afternoon. Presented himself the Jew, Moszk Aronowicz SZEJNKOP, performing the duties of local assistant rabbi, together with the Jew, Pejsach Lejzorowicz MAMROT, bachelor, 25 years of age, born in the settlement of Wincentow and residing there: son of Lejzor and Leia, the Siapsiewicz MAMROT married couple: and the Jewess, Maryaszka Lejbowna LIPNIK, an unmarried girl, 21 years of age, born in the village of Zbojna and residing there with her parents: daughter of Lejb and Skmka Szlomowna LIPNIK, a married couple. In the presence of the witnesses the Jews Eliasz Sacharowicz ROZENBLUM, age 56 and Mejer Chaimowicz NIMOWICZ, age 58 both szkolnikow (synagogue sextons / shammeses) residing in Lomza: he declared that before him on today's date between Pejsach Lejzorwicz MAMROT and Matyaszka Lejbowna LIPNIK a religious marriage was contracted: the this marriage was preceded by three banns on the 9th, 16th and 23rd days of October of the previous year in the synagogue in the town of Skierniewice: and on 2nd, 9th, and 16th days of April of the current year at the synagogue in Lomza: that verbal consent to this marriage was given by Lejzor and Lejba, fathers of the newlyweds here present: and that no objections to this marriage took place. The newly married couple declared that a written prenuptial agreement between them had not been made. This document was read out aloud to those present and the witnesses and was signed by the assistant rabbi together with the witnesses. The newlyweds declared that they do not know how to write.
